8 Awesome Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe for an Amazing Vacation
Like many famous ski destinations, Lake Tahoe is packed with adorable cabins. This mid-century A-frame cabin is definitely one of the best in town – and I’m not the only one who thinks so. With over 100 reviews, it has managed to hold its place as one of the top-rated Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe.
While staying at this renovated 1963 A-frame, you’ll immediately feel like you’re staying in your home away from home. In the winter, you can warm up by the indoor fireplace while watching the snowfall through the floor-to-ceiling windows. In the summer, you can relax in the bubbling hot tub out on the patio. And regardless of the season, you can put together a meal for the group in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
This charming A-frame cabin is situated on Lake Tahoe’s western shore. You’ll be close to Eagle Rock Hiking Trail, William Kent Beach, and the ski slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort.
Guest Review: Jennifer and Kevin are amazing hosts. They were very nice, responsive, and added great personal touches that accented the stay beautifully. The home itself is warm, inviting, and open. The amenities are wonderful and the design of the home is lovely. Definitely would recommend.
Cubby: The Little Black Cabin is one of the most adorable Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe. With its stark black walls, loads of windows, and wrap-around porch, it’s picture-perfect.
And the inside of Cubby is just as eye-catching. You can try out a new recipe in the modern chef’s kitchen, relax in the cozy living room, and read your favorite book in the reading nook. And don’t forget to make use of the huge outdoor deck! You can relax on the sun loungers, sip on your morning cup of coffee or roast marshmallows over the firepit.
Cubby is located in the Carnelian Bay area of Lake Tahoe. This means that you’ll have easy access to Carnelian West Beach, Brockway Summit Tahoe Rim Trail, and Squaw Valley Resort.

With a distinctive church-like exterior and a welcoming modern interior, the Tahoe Hideaway is one of the coolest A-frames I’ve ever come across.
While staying at this lovely vacation home, you’ll be able to stay entertained for hours on end. You can watch your favorite move in front of the crackling stone fireplace, whip up a delicious meal in the spacious kitchen, and pull out the board games for a family game night in the living room. And then at the end of a long adventure-filled day, you can claim one of the two cozy, inviting bedrooms as your own.
The Tahoe Hideaway is located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, specifically in the little town of Incline Village. While there, you can ski at Diamond Peak Ski Resort, hang out at Burnt Cedar Beach, or hike the Monkey Rock Trail.
Guest Review: Lisa & Evan’s place was in the perfect location, super close to everything! It was very clean, decorated beautifully and a great choice for small “home base” while you adventure around Tahoe.
The Sugar Pine Estate is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious places to stay in Lake Tahoe. This custom-built chalet has everything you could want and more.
Want to relax in a hot tub? You can do that out on the deck. Hope to play a game of pool? Check the rec room. Wish that you could relive the childhood memories of making s‘mores? The firepit is in the backyard!
And while there are all of those fun amenities, there are also quite a few sophisticated aspects of this home as well. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the porcelain breakfast bar, relax on sun-warmed stone sun loungers, and pour a glass of wine from the sleek wine bar.
The Sugar Pine Estate is located in the Lake Tahoe suburb of Truckee, California. While there, you can visit the Donner Memorial State Museum, swim in Donner Lake, or hike to the top of Donner Peak.
Guest Review: My group had the very best stay at Sugar Pine Estate. The house and view are absolutely gorgeous. Waking up to the morning light through the huge windows was such a treat. Tons of natural light. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook great family meals together and eat out on the patio. These were also probably the comfiest Airbnb beds we’ve ever slept in. We had the Sonos speaker going and were in and out of the hot tub all weekend. Communication with hosts was great and our group cannot wait to come back.
While this modern mountain cabin is the third A-frame featured on this list of the best Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe, this A-frame cabin offers something a little different from the other two. While the first A-frame cabin is a charming, mid-century home and the second boasts luxury at its finest, this A-frame cabin is simultaneously both cozy and modern.
From the outside, this vacation rental exudes cozy cabin vibes from its dark green paneling to its natural wood door to its pair of Adirondack chairs on the front porch. The interior is where the modern aspects of this home get to shine.
You can prepare a meal in the chef’s kitchen with marbled countertops, watch your favorite movie while being warmed by the crackling fireplace, and have a dance party in the living room as the music streams through the Sonos sound system. And don’t forget to head out to the porch, where you can enjoy the warm sun rays and grill up some dinner.
This cabin is situated on the western shores of Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay. You can ski at Northstar California Resort, hike at Burton Creek State Park, and enjoy the beauty of the nearby neighborhood of Kings Beach.

With its eight bedrooms and room for sixteen people, Bear Claw Estate has enough room for your extended family or all your friends to come along with you on your Lake Tahoe getaway.
And the Bear Claw Estate isn’t just large – it has enough to keep you and fifteen other people entertained for the entirety of your stay. You can swim in the sparkling indoor pool, warm up in the stone hot tub, and play pool and ping pong in the game room.
Or you can opt for a few more relaxing options, including watching a movie next to the crackling fireplace, playing the grand piano, sipping on a glass of wine out on the balcony, and stargazing through the provided telescope.
The Bear Claw Estate is situated on the Nevada side of the lake in Carson City. While there, you can ski at Heavenly Mountain Resort, enjoy the summer sun at Zephyr Cove, and test your golfing skills at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
Guest Review: Megan was great to work with. She made sure we had a great time, picked up our ski lift tickets, and helped us when we got snowed in on our last day. The property was impeccably maintained and we had a memorable time there. We definitely want to go back.
This cozy tiny cabin has everything you need within just a few hundred square feet. You can enjoy the weather out on the front porch, cook up a meal in the well-stocked kitchenette, read a book in the cozy living room, and get some much-needed rest in the lofted bedroom.

This tiny cabin is located in the neighborhood of Kings Beach on the northern shoreline of Lake Tahoe. While there, you can kayak at Kings Beach State Recreation Area, hike the Stateline Lookout Trail, and dine at one of the many wonderful restaurants in town.
Guest Review: Adorable tiny home! Has everything you could want. We stayed in the winter and even enjoyed having a glass of wine on the porch as the snow came down. The loft was very cozy for the cold nights, and the view out the window was gorgeous as the sun came up.

And you certainly have to make use of the beautiful deck as well, especially in the summer. You can enjoy your morning cup of caffeine at the outdoor dining table or grill up some dinner later in the day.
Then, once you’re all worn out from the excitement of the day, you can claim one of the three welcoming bedrooms as your own. There’s even a loft with a bunk bed that’s perfect for younger kids.
This fantastic vacation rental is located in Tahoe City on the western shore of Lake Tahoe. While there, you can enjoy the water at Skylandia State Park & Beach, tackle a couple of exciting hikes at Burton Creek State Park, and test your cross-country skiing skills at the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area.

The house was clean, and the kitchen was equipped with pots, pans, measuring cups, everything you may need. Living room was spacious, with a fireplace and large windows offering a beautiful view of the trees and snow outside. It was a nice gathering area for us to spend quality time with friends.
