Like many famous ski destinations, Lake Tahoe is packed with adorable cabins. This mid-century A-frame cabin is definitely one of the best in town – and I’m not the only one who thinks so. With over 100 reviews, it has managed to hold its place as one of the top-rated Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe.

While staying at this renovated 1963 A-frame, you’ll immediately feel like you’re staying in your home away from home. In the winter, you can warm up by the indoor fireplace while watching the snowfall through the floor-to-ceiling windows. In the summer, you can relax in the bubbling hot tub out on the patio. And regardless of the season, you can put together a meal for the group in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

This charming A-frame cabin is situated on Lake Tahoe’s western shore. You’ll be close to Eagle Rock Hiking Trail, William Kent Beach, and the ski slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort.

Guest Review: Jennifer and Kevin are amazing hosts. They were very nice, responsive, and added great personal touches that accented the stay beautifully. The home itself is warm, inviting, and open. The amenities are wonderful and the design of the home is lovely. Definitely would recommend.

The Sugar Pine Estate is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious places to stay in Lake Tahoe. This custom-built chalet has everything you could want and more.

Want to relax in a hot tub? You can do that out on the deck. Hope to play a game of pool? Check the rec room. Wish that you could relive the childhood memories of making s‘mores? The firepit is in the backyard!

And while there are all of those fun amenities, there are also quite a few sophisticated aspects of this home as well. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the porcelain breakfast bar, relax on sun-warmed stone sun loungers, and pour a glass of wine from the sleek wine bar.

The Sugar Pine Estate is located in the Lake Tahoe suburb of Truckee, California. While there, you can visit the Donner Memorial State Museum, swim in Donner Lake, or hike to the top of Donner Peak.

Guest Review: My group had the very best stay at Sugar Pine Estate. The house and view are absolutely gorgeous. Waking up to the morning light through the huge windows was such a treat. Tons of natural light. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook great family meals together and eat out on the patio. These were also probably the comfiest Airbnb beds we’ve ever slept in. We had the Sonos speaker going and were in and out of the hot tub all weekend. Communication with hosts was great and our group cannot wait to come back.

While this modern mountain cabin is the third A-frame featured on this list of the best Airbnbs in Lake Tahoe, this A-frame cabin offers something a little different from the other two. While the first A-frame cabin is a charming, mid-century home and the second boasts luxury at its finest, this A-frame cabin is simultaneously both cozy and modern.

From the outside, this vacation rental exudes cozy cabin vibes from its dark green paneling to its natural wood door to its pair of Adirondack chairs on the front porch. The interior is where the modern aspects of this home get to shine.
